The Characters of Roger and Jack
Roger is a sadist and Jack is a dictator. Or are they the true survivors in the novel. What do you think?
The Setting
Golding's choice of setting (on a remote uninhabited island) is a good one, given that his intensions in writing the novel are to 'trace the defects of society back to the defects in human nature.' Do you agree with this statement?
